Annoying new sounds on my 2007 Civic
I discovered that my 2007 Civic LX sedan when put in reverse will sometimes make a single clicking sound. It's quite loud too. It started happening last week. It doesn't always happen though. Anyone here experience this problem?
On another note, for the very first time, last week, when I started the car, the engine made a pretty loud squeaking sound! Engine oil is at 90% too. I've had my engine shake a bit during startup, but I never experience squeaking until last week. I started the engine today and yesterday but I couldn't duplicate the squeaking sound. |

The sound is most likely from the brake pads sliding up or down when they are cold. This is normal it allows for the brake pads to expand when warm or hot and the sound is gone until they are cold again. Every Honda that I know of that has "Honda Brake Pads" does this........don't worry its normal. I am a Honda Tech and I hear these complaints almost everyday.
If this is not it and you know its not then.... Sunshine where do you live and how cold is it there? I could look up some things to see if Honda knows about the noise from the transmission. Last edited by ProspeedCTR; 04-26-2007 at 05:33 PM. |
