Exclamation Motor mount bolt shifted?

I picked up an used 2006 4 drs EX about a month ago. It has 15000 miles when I bought it and have put on about 1000 since.

Today, while I was cleaning my engine bay I noticed an odd thing. I was able to snap few pictures to show you guys.

I think the left (if you looking directly to the engine bay) engine mount bolt moved, I could tell that it moved because you can kinda see the part where it was before (paint chip).

Do you think this is normal? Should I tighten the bolt? Anyone else ever experience this?

see if it's loose......I know there is a issue with motor mounts on the R18 engines.....it might have gotten the new one or it might have shifted...
it's either a 12mm or a 14mm bolt from the pix that I can see...

It doesn't look normal. I had one of my engine mounts replaced because it made a clunking noise. You should take it in just in case.

Give it a little twist with a socket and see if it moves. If it dosen't then it more than likely took a good hit to get that bolt to move, like a neutral drop or something. Hopefully someone dumb and young did not own that car before you.

Yeah take it in Now. I never had my mount out of the si yet but usually mount bolts will only drop straight in with NO play like what I see in the photo. Looks to be an elongated hole- but should it be? I hope not. Could be perhaps to sharing the same platform with a 1.8 and 2.0 ??? Dunno. Personally don't like it.

Just had another look at the pic. Looks like there should be a washer under the bolt head. This washer has a bent piece that acts to center the bolt in proper position which goes into the little hole right beside the bolt. I would go outside and look at mine but its pissin rain fierce now. Drive it easy to the dealership. Good luck.

I just attached photo

Found a pic of an Si on this site--theres no washer. Found this under my hood! (Comptech) the F--- is that hole right beside it!!?? R our cars mising pieces. Now I want to go out and take mine apart to see if theres a washer sandwiched between the mount and body bracket. There must be somthing to maintaint the alignment- the tightening of the bolt is not suffencient enough. My 2 cents and then some.

I bought the car from a family man, so I doubt that it's been abused or raced.

I end up trying to loosen the bolt, it doesn't take much to loosen it. After I loosen it, the bolt kinda went to the middle by itself. So I guess it was just loose from the factory??

It was 17mm bolt btw, anyone know how much you're suppose to torque this bad boy down?? Should I just tighten it as much as possible ... cheers

the hole that the arrow is pointing to looks like it should have a lock bracket on it....you know like the front motor mount for the tranny to the subframe?
