Takin my car in- few questions.

I'm taking my car in for 3 things.

1- oil change

2- the free 40 point inspection

3- my transmission has some issues. or maybe my clutch i dunno.

long story short ESPECIALLY when its cold, but most always.... my car will catch this spot between neutral and 2nd to where it feels like it went into second, and when you let off the clutch it just grinds to hell until it pops back out to neutral.

my questions are-

does anyone else have/had this problem?

is this a clutch or a transmission problem, or both?

how long do i wait so my computer doesnt show aggressive driving? ive heard 50 miles. i VERY rarely if EVER drive it aggressively, and i know that for the little bit of aggressive driving i have done (2-3 runs to the top of 3rd gear), I dont want them to try to claim that this is the problem with my transmission when it clearly is not.

how long does everyone wait for their oil change? i hate waiting 5000 miles i feel like im neglecting it.

what does the free 40 point inspection cover?

thanks in advance!

There's a lot of reports with problems with the gearboxes in these cars. Your best bet would be to change the manual transmission fluid (MTF) with Amsoil (popular choice on these boards) or Honda's genuine OEM MTF.

Here's the link to Amsoil's MTF: http://www.amsoil.com/StoreFront/mtf.aspx
