Isn't this the same motor that's in many other cars (RSX-S?)?...are they having an issue with this - did you have FI in any way?

The Scion won't be nearly as fun to drive, but given how boring of a car it is, I'm sure it'll last forever.

The new Civic is both a wonder and a tremendous let down, I think.

I'm right in the middle of how I feel about it. Love my car; hate the materials and built quality.

its gonna be two years with this car in nov... yeah its a r18. the inside quality its well...ive seen better in a ford. i just loved the style of the car but i grew out of it quickly. i think the tc has more potential to be fun than this car..

Well, unless you're in Canada, the Si shouldn't be more than 21k.

And while it's a Civic by name and look, the engine makes up for it.

Trust me on that one.

I'm not happy with the quality of the Civics either, but.

I am sure that he was driving his car in the red daily for something like this to happen. Just like when I hear people frying their stereo systems (played too loud) and ruining phones (repeated drops/water), etc... it's called abuse. Just because the car can go to its limit doesn't mean that you take it to it's limit everyday. The tach may say redline is 8k but leave it at 8k and your car is gonna go up in smoke. Remember, you treat your toys like crap, they are gonna break.

its a civic...not a race car.

i drive about 30 miles to and from work 5 days a week. i think i just got a bad apple. its interesting how people will defend this car in every way. no i dont abuse cars. 16k for a 21 year old is alot of money. atleast for it me was. when i invested in this car i didnt expect it to have so many..issues to say the least. iono id prefer a hatch like the rsx or that damn tc right about now
