By driving the car with the temp gauge at max, YOU CRACKED THE BLOCK.

It gets really tiresome hearing people bellyache and saying " my (insert car brand here) exploded. These cars suck. (etc., etc.)", when it is the OWNER'S responsibility to check the car and its parameters BEFORE EVERY DRIVE. If something isn't right, it is YOUR responsibility to take appropriate action, and it's the dealer's responsibility to fix it, if it is still in the warranty period. It may have been a defect from the factory or some outside circumstance may have contributed, but THAT'S WHY THEY HAVE GAUGES ON CARS, to let you know ahead of time that something needs to be looked into.

It sucks that your car overheated. It sucks even worse that the block cracked. I feel your pain. BUT..... YOUR CAR TRIED TO WARN YOU, YOU JUST DIDN'T PAY ANY ATTENTION. I certainly wouldn't blame Honda for this one. I bet you'll never ignore that temp gauge on any future car.

Yeah! One less 8th gen civic on the road making my car more rare, thus raising it's value. Thanks for buying a tC.

Every time I see a tC I wanna bang my head against the wall. I'm living in a small town in the middle of nowhere and I see 15 of them per day.

+1 if your temp guage goes more than 55% than there is definantly something wrong with cooling you should have stopped. I dont blame you however there have been many R18s with cooling problems

Wow... in regards to the Tc. I just saw my first one the other day. I think it had New Hampshire plates. Anyways, I was like wtf is that?! Pulled up behind it and was like oh... meh, nothing special. But it's fairly simple... people buy cheap shit because that's what they can afford, not everyone can drive an Si

The tc's are the nicest out of the scion's which isn't saying much.I did debate buying one, all it took was 1 test drive. The car drove like shit ,honestley the seats were uncomfortable, there is no head room, and your moonroof covers are like cheap ass venitiean blinds.oh and the whole center console vibrates while driving and is 1 huge ugly piece of poorly painted plastic. The only thing i did like was that both windows have auto up !nice feature but if i am sacrificing all the negitives for a lazy ass feature ill pass ,I mean relly remember having to reach over and roll up and down the windows ,how lazy have we become as a socitey? In all there will always be debates I think the 08 lancers look way better than the tc's go that route if your not feeling the civic . Me personally this is my second I had a 06 lx sedan ,sold it for more than I paid for it then got my 07 ex coupe which I love ,the curves the seats the whole damn body is the best coupe I have seen .No regrets here

God this sounds like a Ford/Chevy debate. All cars have problems. Every car isnt for everyone, thats why there are many auto makers, get back to topic and post. End of story.

I still wouldnt call Toyota's and Honda's reliability crap whether current or not. Every car manufacturer will have their share of recalls.
