amsoil MTF for R18?

Hey guys, my transmission is feeling very wierd and crunchy and is sometimes not going into gear all the way, it also locks me out of 1st gear once in a blue moon.

I think if i make the switch to amsoil syncromesh mtf that it would take care of most of these problems.

i was looking around for a DIY but i couldnt find much for the r18 but i found lots for the k20.

any ways i was wondering how hard the install was.

doesnt look to hard, just get a pump and 2 quarts of fluid and a couple sockets but i was wondering if i could get the specific specs and possibly a DIY.

so if any one has done the switch on an R18 please let me know how it went

The process is fairly easy, but it’s rather long. You have to take time to pump the MTF out of the bottle, put the syringe into the fill hole, pump it and keep going. The fill and drain bolts are located directly underneath the stock airbox. I have the stock airbox out and I was able to reach the fill bolt from up top. This will be rather hard to explain, but the bolts are... you can say, "faced to the side" of the car. So if you had the car on the lift, your head would have to be facing the right wheel and you'd be looking TO the right side to see the bolts.

When I originally attempted the MTF change, I was looking around the oil drain bolts, but it's not there. Let me know if you need further clarification.
