oil light reset? seatbelt buzzer turn of?

I searched but didn't see the info anywhere. Does anybody know the procedure for resetting the oil light after an oil change not at the dealer? How about the annoying not wearing your seatbelt buzzer? Can it be turned off easily? Thanks in advance, -Troy-

Its in the manual. I cant recall off the top of my head, but it involves holding down the button for an obnoxious amount of time.

Hold sel/reset for 10 secs. When it starts blinking, let go of the button and hold it down again til it reads 100%

Oh, and the seatbelt buzzer... there's no way to stop it that I know of. I believe that when you put on your seatbelt, it completes a circuit telling the car that the seatbelt is on, stopping the buzzer. I'm sure(think...) if you followed your seatbelt receiver down to the floor there should be the wire that gets connected when the seatbelt is locked in. One could probably connect the wires permanently and the computer will think the seatbelt is always "on". Thats is just a theory though....

The easiest way to turn off the annoying seat belt buzzer is to wear your seat belt.

I was wondering this myself for a friends sake.....he is quite large and I am affraid if I hit something hes going to get blown away by the airbag....I'm not positive but I think if you dont have the belt on the airbag won't deploy. Someone correct me if I'm wrong and let me know if there are any options

I always wear the seatbelt when driving. I buckle up even before starting the car. Thanks for the safety tips :) Sometimes when I am just sitting in the car or just driving my trash to the dumpster 50 feet away it annoys me like crazy. (I live in a condo) The Civic is my GF's car. My TC's buzzer can be turned off/on with a sequence of buttons and clicking the seatbelt.

I did search for a while and found nothing hence my post . It's not my car and my GF lost her manual. Why do people always jump all over people for asking questions when they're new to a forum and always throw the "SEARCH" thing out there ? Isn't this what a forum is for? To ask questions and help others and share info ect? I could spend all day searching and find no answers. This post answered both of my questions in a half hour while I was doing other things offline. Thanks guys.
