The best bet is to buy it from the Amsoil online store. 2 Qts. I changed mine with about 1000 miles on my car and it makes a HUGE difference! There's no doubt that the Si Transmission is a bit notchy, but the Amsoil smooths it out tremendously! Remember to get a new crush washer for the drain - it's the same one as the oil drain plug. You can get that at the dealer. Also, look up the torque spec for both the fill and drain bolts - 41 Ft/lbs for the fill and 39 Ft/ls for the drain - I THINK - please verify by search.

The dealers around here have told customers they won't install Amsoil or anything not Honda made, even if you buy it.

So, you have to use Honda oil and Honda gas, not to mention Honda wiper fluid and Honda brake fluid - this is a bunch of BS and illegal. As long as the fluids meet the requirments set by the manufacturer you can use them and still have your warranty guaranteed - this is the law (look up Magnusson-Moss act of 1975 - passed by Congress and enforced by the Federal Trade Commission)

These service guys really piss me off - you hear this sort of thing all over the forums and it's complete BS.

Don't ever go to Jiffy Lube. Those lying thieves know oil and they've been falsely advertising "3k mile oil changes" for years when they know it's bullshit. Even Ford has come out and said it's unnecessary and a waste of $ and that they are going to change the owners manuals in their vehicles, etc.

Find a good mechanic that will do what you tell him/her instead of putting their 2 cents in. You even have the torque specs on both bolts so you can tell the mechanic as well. Hell buy a lift or jack stands and just do it yourself. It's really an easy deal if you have some stands.

I have a trusted mechanic and friend who changed over my MTF to Amsoil. He drove it before and after and couldn't believe the difference either! He commented that the Honda factory stuff must be crap and he was a bit surprised!

It's kind of annoying that Honda didn't put proper torque specs for MTF bolts. When I changed mine i just tightened it by hand with a short handle so not to over-torque it.

But ya, I've heard so many horror-stores from Jiffy Lube.
