I changed to the new Honda MTF, and life has been fine. I also have the short-shifter, BB, & CB setup.

Well is it like that all the time or does it happen only when the car is still cold?

I've notice something similar also when the car is cold but nothing big. Hope its not a big problem.

I actually have the amsoil in my car and its nice man. GL fixing it

i have shorshifter, base and cable bushings but it still grinds and stuff..

well 3rd gear grinded once like couple weeks ago (i got my MTF changed like 2~3months ago)

i dont think the temp matters cause 2nd gear grinds randomly (cold temp high temp)

I had the same issue with 2cd gear yesturday it grinded at wot when i went in from 1st gear which has only happend to me once or twice before. My 2cd gear is notchy alot even on downshifts its complete BS but i know if i take it in they will jerk me anyway. I guess i need the amsoil or honda mtf upgrade good luck with yours.

Have you noticed a consistent pattern for the grinding when shifting into second? Does it still grind after the transmission has warmed up?

I've got several bottles of Royal Purple tranny fluid (bought too much) if you want to give that a shot.

I'd have to find the receipt to check on the price...I'll sell for whatever I paid. Come to think of it, I have a huge box full of stock parts and other crap as well so let me know if you need anything more on the 28th.

the new honda mtf is better than the old one but not much of an improvement.

No problem...I've got five bottles of the stuff. It won't take long at all to change out. I've also got a bunch of Motul RBF600 brake fluid, case of Royal Purple oil, etc. (I have a bad habit of collecting tools, parts and supplies).

Not trying to push you to buy anything...I'll use them eventually, but wanted to let you know that they are available.
