Crackling

When I turn the car off it sounds weird but its kind of louder or what ever sorry this thread is just quick and what to know what it is thanks

IF your car is wet, than its the water dripping on your exhaust and sizzling. IF your car is dry, then its just your exhaust cooling down, the metal contracting. Nothing to be alarmed about.

That was my initial guess. Sounds like a bunch of small cracks and dings to metal.

OKay, but is that the question... a bunch of small "metal dings and cracks"???
Because I get a loud "pinging noise" like heat expansion, basically when I stop the car and put the e-brake on, doesn't necessarily have to be turned off.
Because it's just one loud noise, I don't think it's heat expansion.
I thought I'd just throw this up here because it's semi-related

When a car is turned off and you hear crackling noises. It's the exhaust system cooling down. Some A/C systems make this noise too.
