Is it possible to have the same keyless entry frequency as another car?

I'm wondering if thats possible to have the same Frequency as someone else's car cause there was a Sedan Si parked right next to my Si Coupe the other day and after i locked my doors and put the keyless entry beep thing. i SWORE i heard the Sedans "BEEP" go off too. it was kinda hard to tell cause they went off at the same time. am i just imagining this? could another Si owner break into another Si cause of the same Keyless entry frequency?

they should all be different, I don't know if its the frequency or not, but if they weren't imagine all the crazy stuff going on at meets, and at dealer lots

I remember years ago when pretty much any Saturn key worked in any Saturn (with a lot of jiggling I mind you) but alot of these were ripped off lol.So anything is possible, and yes I have heard my car honk while parked in my garage. I do not know why lol..but it happened once..Fa5

man, i could've SWORE i heard the Sedan's "BEEP" going off too cause MY "BEEP" sounded louder than usual. and had like an echo to it as if i was in the middle of nowhere in some mountain area. if you ask me, i actually was a BIT nervous that, that Sedan was parked next to me anyways cause the owner of that Sedan Si was IN their car sitting in the parking lot doing GOD KNOWS WHAT. good thing i was on my lunch hour and was watching my car from a far all while sitting in a plastic chair outside of my job. the chairs and tables are for customers BTW. i had a strange feeling and just sat there and watched to see if something was about to happen. so after sitting patiently for (i would say) 45 to 50 minutes, the driver of the Si Sedan just took off and did some kinda fast ass turn right outa his or her's parking spot and RIGHT outa the parking lot at my job....if you ask me, i'm GLAD i was watching. they had their car running the whole time......STRANGE.

that person was about to catch an ass whoopen!

I wouldnt say its impossible but it is improbable. Tthe chances of two frequencies on key fobs being the same is soooooo miniscual. Plus its not just the frequency that as to match to open, its frequency and length of signal sent. Id say its about as likely as someone giving me a 2001 Skyline GT-R R34 out of the blue for no reason.

yeah, do you guys ever think that people are about to scratch it on purpose?. i mean, i would NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER! do anything wrong to another persons car!. EVEN if i didn't like them!. thats just the LOWEST BLOW you could ever give to a dude. messing with a dudes car is like asking for death and a beatdown. when i look at someone's car and i'm close to it, i don't even touch it!. no need to touch it!. i get nervous when people are around my car at ALL times!. i park it where i can see it anyways. when i'm working and doing my job, i ALWAYS find those EVERY couple of seconds to look up and out towards my car to see if she's ok. i'm F'ING ANAL!

I work at a honda dealership, and my coworker once had his oil changed for free because a customers key worked in his car. (It was an older Accord) They were the same year, color, and model.

reminds me of this time back in high school..i went to my locker, opened it, and guess what? .. not my stuff.
i closed it, looked at the locker number, and i was 1 locker to the right. it was someone elses locker.

maybe our locks got switched sometimes when we were both there at the same time..

i tried mine..and what do you know?..it worked. 2 people, side by side lockers, same combination..

BTW..its pretty much impossible on any modern remote, because they use a rolling code.

Not sure about the same model, but 2 times in my life I've seen my key less entry dongle open another cars doors, one was my friend joys KIA if you believe that, it was quite amusing setting her alarm off.

Just curious: Why would a Honda dealership employee try a customer key in his own car? Was that part of the work that the customer requested to have done? ...and which dealership was that?
