Jeez with the Grinds =/

I grinded going form 1st to 2cd today which i havent done in a long time at WOT i never really wot 1st i normally wot 2cd to 3rd etc. I had the clutch all the way down and slammed the gear but some how it still made that nasty grinding noise anyway how bad is this for the tranny really it happens once in a blue moon. Does this happen to any other SI owners beside me once and a while will it ruin the gear in the tranny ? its really pissing me off please any help is great.

I've heard of it happening to others. Your best bet is to try changing your tranny fluid to something like amsoil. At least you have the extended warranty so if it screws up you dont have to worry to much. BTW does it only happen WOT?

it happened today...cant recreate the grind at the honda department so they wont do anything about it...they said they wont replace the tranny fluid becuase tranny fluid "should be changed every 50k miles" (dealer said that).

i guess i gotta live with it

Two Honda dealerships claim they couldnt replicate it and "there is absolutely nothing wrong with the transmission".

Took a tech for a test drive, did it twice on the drive, said he "didn't hear it".

Sounds like Honda's looking the other way on this one.

Was he wearing noise cancelers? Every time I hear a gear grind, I want to cry!

If you shift extremly fast form 1-2 it will grind. This is especially common with the s/s. I don't believe it to be a design flaw...
