safety not a concern for honda?

so...if ur like me and own a coupe chances are you don't have that many passengers, and if you do it very rarely gets so filled that the center rear seat. but today just so happened that my one rear passanger decided to sit in the center (she's a weird one) and she brought to my attention that my center seatbelt metal insert (the male end of the seatbealt) was none existant on the actualy harness!!!! we dug around the seats and still to clip!!! WTF!!! someone fall asleep at the assembly line? needless to say my oil change this week i will be bringing this to their attention as this i'm sure is warranty covered and i need to have them order belts for me too (r18 bullitin). Hopefully i'm the only one with this overlook as to a key safety feature missing, but you should check anyway cuz....you prob spend as much time in ur backseat as i do.....NONE (at least time that requires a seatbelt lol)

Luckily, your passenger doesn’t fly out through the windshield. It would have costs Honda a lot of money for one seatbelt buckle..!

I don't know how their QA passed your car. They are probably marks 'check' on everything without checking..!

Every company has a few problems during manufacturing, but that is a pretty big oversight.

The civic is one of the safest small cars out there, but you do still need to have the seatbelt

btw, can the coupe actually seat 3 people in the back

3 anorexic people that is. I have put 3 of my friends in the back of my coupe and they complained the entire way. But to answer your question, yes it can be done. Oh and that is pretty strange to be missing a seatbelt???

Absolutely. I've done it before.

This should have been noticed by the dealer during the PDI as well.

The tech if done properly has to make sure all seatbelts are in working condition.

It has to be there, I can't see the factory missing something like a seatbelt.

I agree, I could possibly see it making it to the dealer without one but how did they sell you the car without it, thats just crazy.

I picked me car up and all three seat belts in the back seat were fastened.

That sucks about your missing seat beat OP, so I'd take it back to dealer and get a new one soon!

Ever get out and look at the wheel gap? The car looked slammed in the back when I had five people in the car. :)

dude the back can fit 7 average sized men/women (men: between 5'10''-6'
1'' and weighs between 160-180. women: between 5'7''-5'10'' and not to sure about their weight), i tried it...friends and i got bored so we just tried it out. didnt even start the car cus i saw that the wheel was touching the car.

fyi its perfect for 2 if you know what i mean...and keep a pillow and a blanket in the trunk for "emergencies."
