Cheapo trunk fabric

Today I went to the supermarket and I bought a gallon of milk and I put it in the trunk. I went home and I discovered that the movement of the milk bottle damaged in lining and fabric in the trunk. Pretty pathetic material and construction.

Trunk Tray, it protects the bottom of your trunk, actually has some grip, and goes up the sides a few inches,

I think cargo net would be the best bet. Thanx for the advice. Anyway, next time I think I'll just put it in my knapsack, the milk bottle that is. That's what I did last time. Today, I totally forgot about it, oh well.

I've been meaning to buy the OEM trunk tray...the trunk is really a cost-cut area.

+1, I really hate whatever they used on the trunk, nothing stays in place, and it feels like the center board is made out of foam

btw, aren't you supposed to be studying for a midterm

j/k

I just couldn't believe how the first time I put a gallon of milk in my trunk it would have caused so much destruction. Some of the fabric lining literally torn apart and the fabric area near the folding down seats now have milk bottle dents. Just pathetic! Toyota trunk fabrics are way way tougher and more durable. Well, this taught me a lesson. Don't put heavy moveable objects in the trunk. If so, just protection, like some sort of padding, like what I've been doing with milk bottle in the knapsack.

Sometimes, I'll just forget like what happened with me today. I guess there are more important things to think about in life. I'm sure it'll happen again, but I'll have to move on so I'm not really mad with myself. Unless, the damage ends with squeaks or rattles in the trunk area.

I've had all sorts of stuff in my trunk, TVs, backpacks, etc. and other than a few loose threads my trunk is fine, and thats with my driving (nothing is in the same place when you open the trunk)

Do you have any pictures of the damage? If its not to high up the tray will cover it.

I won't be getting the tray as I already have cardboard and a big plastic sheet covering the bottom of the trunk for protection. It's just the back area of the trunk near the folding down seats, that's where the destruction happened. Just reminder to never put loose bricks in the back of the trunk. I think backpacks or anything with padding is fine. As for TV's, I don't think a TV will move much.

you'll have to post some pics of it. PM me when you get them and I'll add them to your post.
