Window Rattle/Scratching
Ok so this morning on my way to TTC, I kept hearing this noise. I figured it was just sand hitting the rear wheel well 'cuz we have a lot of it still on the road from snow two months ago.
Well the noise sounds like scratching glass with a rock. It ONLY happens when I hit the gas pedal. While cruising or braking, there is no noise. The only physical *damage* I can see is there is a scratch on the rear window where the noise is coming from. Standing behind my car, it's in the right bottom corner. The scratch was not there two days ago. My guess is something/someone hit it last night while at work. I didn't notice the noise last night 'cuz I had all the windows down, music up, and VTEC in yo face lol But I didn't hear it on the way to work so it had to have happened while I was working. Any ideas? It sounds like the rear window is gonna crack in half. I REALLY don't want that to happen.

Who knows for sure but my glass on my 06 LX sedan is so scratched up you would be shocked. I only use microfiber cloths and windex.
I did not even bring it up to honda as I know they will say it was caused by myself or a car wash. A few others have also reported easily scratched glass. With regards to your problem if there is no CRACK, I doubt it will break in two. |
