mine does it on idle and when i go over 70mph... i bought hub centric rings to eliminate the vibration and it seems to work fine.

I feel this usually when i'm warming the car up. I havn't noticed it while driving. I'm almost positive that this is normal.

Yeah, mine does it too. More noticeable now that I have the lightweight flywheel in it too. Like twice as bad.... only in neutral tho. Not while moving.

I was asking another local person about this and they didn't have it. I thought I was the only one who had this trouble at 2500RPM!

I wonder if it's possibly a motor mount problem?

If a vibration or sound wave occurs (engine running) with the same frequency as the engine bay resonance frequency, it'll shake, and shake more than at any other RPM. So, since our problem happens only @2500 rpm, it indicates something else, otherwise it means all of the cars with this problem have EXACTLY the same mounting problem and not only that, but they all would shake at different RPM, not only 2500. That's the only thing I can think of

So I guess it could be two things 1) It's normal, 2) Something's bad inside the engine (hope not!!)

maybe its some sort of resonance, whatever it is, it can't be that much of a problem if we all have it, if it was it would have been solved at the factory

I bought my Si three days ago, it was made last month (May '07). I have this shake too, about 2300 rpm. I was really freaked out, thought something was trashed in my motor (e.g., balance shaft off a tooth, or low compression in one cylinder). I guess it is "normal" since so many seem to have this problem. When I really feel/listen to it, I think it is most likely a fuel injection timing problem. I have a LOT of automotive/mechanic experience going way back, and this is where I would look first. If you listen to the exhaust carefully at this RPM, there is a bit of backfiring down the exhaust pipe.

Me too

I have this too. It's most noticeable when the car isn't moving and I slowly increase engine RPM's. Seems to only be between 2200-2300 RPM. I won't worry about it unless it gets worse.
