Injen CAI install

I installed my Injen CAI with some friends yesterday and I have a few questions.

Do I need that plastic piece that sits on top of the grill? We got too lazy to put it back on so its in my trunk now.

Did I have to use the zip tie included with the intake and stuff? I skipped the step where your suppose to zip tie something to something. haha. n00b here

And my piping sits dangerously close to the tire. I'm scared its gonna rub. Anybody else have this problem? Im probably going to try to push it towards the bumper more when I drop my car.

umm dont know much about the zip tie but the plastic peice on top of the grill you dont need it, but it takes 7 seconds to put on and it makes it look alot better so why not put it on?

No, the radiator support is not needed. I broke the clips on those when I did the installation, so I ran without one for a couple of weeks, but it's back on there now.

I'm not sure what intake you bought, but there was nothing concerning zip tieing my intake. That sounds awfully dangerous!

the tire is actually rubbing. i just found mine out a minute ago. I'm at Honda right now getting my oil changed and the guy took me back there and showed me that the tire was rubbing against the intake that stuck out the wheel well.

Also, he told me that the clutch line was rubbing on the intake and over time it will wear out the line so he stuck a piece of foam to block the two parts from rubbing again.

The top cover is just for looks. I keep it on for a cleaner look. I would zip tie the MAF sensor wire before it rubs thru or worse yet gets caught in the fan.

I don't have any tirte rubbing issues. Did you mount the vibra mount in the right place?

Here's my DIY I did on this
DIY * Injen CAI install * Si
