Broke the Plastic PCV Valve connector

Just installed an Injen CAI. All was fine till I went to remove a hose from the plastic PCV Valve during the removal of the old intake. I broke half of the plastic hose connector to the (the black piece) PCV Valve.. The hose connects to the half remaining (with leaks). Anyone know how much this thing cost and how critical is it to be replaced? Seems to run, OK, so far... I'm so mad at myself right now...

Here's an example picture of the connector from the DIY link...

Here is a link to the replacement part that you need to order. It is number 8 in the PIC.

The part number is the same for the 06 and 07.

yea i was about to say its not PCV valve (postive crank ventilation) that valve is on the left side of theblock right by the manifold.

That has to do with air assist for the injectors and once the car is warmed up, it closes

what i did was talk a raze and make a small cut on the house long way ( as if you were cutting the house in half) this prove to work better than other ways i've seen

Looks like I can get one (VALVE, AIR ASSIST) anywhere from $57-$87dollars... Thank you all for the help!!! I really do appreciate your assistance!!

So is this valve necessary during warm up only?? I live in TX and it's not too cold as for now. Can the car survive for a month or so without a new one till I get the cash to replace it?

If you look at the intake manifold there are pin holes.. and what it does is on start up it creats a vaccum and the holes in the manfiold (pin size) help suck the fuel in to head/combustion chamber. One of my friends broke his and he put super glue on it. when the car warms up its seals up/ closes up. I needs to be fixed

Depending on where it broke, if you glue it back on (or bond it with JB Weld), you'll be fine since the connection does not see positive pressure.

Join the MFing club I broke this piece last year while putting on an intake. POS cheap plastic part. nothing like adding $80 to an intake install. For future reference I've put a little lube on the plastic to make install easier.
