Wiper motor noise????????

hi all,
I was coming back from work, it’s raining here in NJ and I heard this crackling { kreek krreeeek kreeeeeeeekkk }sound coming from the wipers, 1st I thought may be it’s just the wipers, but then when I got home I lifted the wipers and it seems the motor is making that noise …… anyone else noticed that noise? Is that normal or am I going back the bat cave?

I've noticed it too, particularly when the wipers are in intermittent mode.

Would the dealer actually do something for you?

What kind of noise and when do you hear it. What part of the suspension are the dealer replacing? Shock, spring, both? I have a low scraping sound when I turn the steering wheel left or right (can hear it with the windows close and radio off). I will take it in to the dealer to check.

The wiper sound is coming from the rubber sleeve wrapped around the moving rod.

I took my civic to the dealer because it was actually raining and I was nereby. The guy that looked at the wiper remarked that the circular piece of rubber or plastic around the base of the wiper arm should not be moving. i am taking it to the dealer tomorrow for them to screw with it. Anyone notice that most of us with the wiper problem are from the tri-state area?

me too

I am also having the problem with my wipers. My dash is also squeaky. Both of which the dealer "can't" hear. Has any one in the Dayton area had better luck with certain dealerships?
