Seat Belt Squeak...

The pulley that winds up the drivers side seat belt makes a really annoying squeak when being pulled out and going back in during short movements. ie;suttle movements while driving around, hitting bumps, leaning forward, etc, etc...Anyone else notice this or have this problem?

Sweet holy crap! I thought i was the only one who was going nuts over this. There is a little textured metal insert in the center of the (pulley?!?) that the seatbelt runs through. It happened to me more when it was really cold out but its still going on now, I have no idea on a fix, maybe some cleverly applied electrical tape?

^^^hmmm... I was thinking some sort of lube would take care of it. I haven't opened it up yet to get a look at it. Maybe this weekend I can pull that panel off...

Yeah. It makes the most awful styrofoam rubbing sound when it retracts when it is really cold. That, and there is a horrid rattle coming from that area.

It's going in next week to get that (among a dozen other things) fixed. God willing.

It's sickly funny to me how almost every problem I've had on this car, there are at least a few others with the exact same thing...rattles or not.
