Go back to your dealer and tell them you either want them to fix the breaks or put it in writing that they are fine. If they choose the "they are fine" path again. Tell them in no uncertain terms that if and when the brakes fail you will sue the living crap out of them.

Dude, did they at least lube up first? Hell no that's not normal. Can't you tell by comparing them with the front rotors? I have that many miles, and all 4 of my rotors look like mirrors, and I HAVE been through nice salted roads up here. HOWEVER, are we looking at both rotors or just one? How deep are those scratches? Are they surface imperfections or deep grooves - hard to tell depth in a 2-D picture. Here's what I would do: Pull the pads, see if there's anything lodged in there, and get an idea of how deep those grooves are. If it's a defective rotor, I would follow up with Honda. If it's road debris or something else, get it resurfaced or get another one. They're what, all of $75?

Well this is the deal, both sides look just like that. Those are pictures of one side, but they look almost identical. I will bring it to another dealer in a couple weeks when I get a chance. I am still under 3k miles and I understand that there is no way these rotors should look like this. I know they should be almost perfectly smooth and at 2,800 miles they should look perfect. I figure they do have it on record that I brought it in and they said it was fine??? Not sure about that. Anyway, I will bring it to another dealer because there is no way should have to buy new rotors for a car that is just over a month old that I haven't even changed the oil on yet. Thanks for all of your replies on this matter.

I know this thread is over a year old, but I just wanted to update it. The dealer never did replace the rotors and now my car has 23,000 miles on it. The rotors are now perfectly smooth. I don't know what caused this in the first place, but whatever it was now it is fine. Just a heads up for anyone else that may come across this in the future.
