Poly-Fill trunk area

I haven't really FULLY tested this idea/theory but here it is

POLY-FILL u buy at crafts store and whatnot

since the civic is the lowest class of honda, it lacks some insulation in the trunk lid and around it(the whole car really) So I purchased 2 bags of poly-fill and shoved them into the openings in the trunk lid hoping to reduce some vibration from speakers and reduce noise coming into the cabin. I also put some in the rear quarter panel area as well as the rear deck(from trunk area) and subwoofer

i haven't had the music up too loud but seems like it's working. less vibration to the outside trunklid.

I also had a chance to take the stupid rear deck out and put it back...I think I fixed the rear deck rattle which was driving me crazy!

try it out I think it's a CHEAP mod that can be benefitial.

Thanks for the tip! Less rattle is something you can't put a price on.

Is it more or less safe in most conditions? Any nasty fumes or problems with it when you were applying it?

I did this with a 93 accord to stop the sub from rattling the whole car. It totally did the trick although I worried about a fire and made sure to keep all bulbs away from the polyfill.

I wonder if there is a similar 'stuffable' type sound deadening material out there instead of sheets like dynamat and the like. Some real stuff meant to get rid of noise.
