Adjusting Clutch engagement point? (base civic)

anyone know how to adjust the engagement point on a base civic clutch? i think it engages to high off the floor and would like to see if i can get it to "catch" a little lower.

thanks for the input

how many miles do you have? it might be grabbing higher due to a worn out clutch.

good idea...

haha i'm experiencing the same thing lol. actually it's really hard for me to tell when it catches, and the quiet engine doesn't help! I've had my civic for a month now, and im still not use to it. I'm use to driving very stiff clutches, i.e. Jetta, gti. This clutch is too soft for me. any suggestions? my friends tell me to switch to a stage II...

the only way to adjust this engagement point is by replacing the pressure plate but if your going to do that then you mind as well just change the disc and throw out bearing as well. its a hydro clutch not a cable. upgrade to a stronger clutch and pressure plate.

Hi all,

I for one was too used to the higher engage point. 2 weeks ago i took my car in for a squeaking noise on my clutch pedal (06 SI), and they replaced the clutch pedal, master cylinder and resistor spring to rid of the squeak. Now, it seems like the clutch height was adjusted and it seems like the clutch catches too soon... Is it difficult to adjust the height? Everyone seems to be flagging it as a no-no..
