Si wont start

Last night I went to start my car and it made a funny noise and took a couple seconds to start. I thought it was no big deal. This morning I go to start the car and it doesn’t even start. I get my jumper cables to start the car. Then I drove around for a little, turned the car off and it did not start. I decided to bring it to Honda and leave it there for the weekend. My 07 Civic Si only has 950 miles on it so I am a little upset about the situation.

Crappy, dud of a battery maybe? Or have you rewired anything lately like your head unit or some lights?

Sounds like you have a something draining your battery. By now the battery is dead.

Negative, If the alternator was dead, it would start then die when the battery dies. The car runs on alternator power, not battery.

alternator is defective.... sometimes it works and sometime it won't....

alternator will charge the battery when the engine is running.. a defactive alternator wont charge the battery even if its running.. when the battery is drain, you cant start the car..

The car is completely stock, I haven’t modified or rewired anything. I hope it’s nothing to serious.

if you want to test the alternator out just unplug the negative battery cable while the car is running. if the car dies the alternator is dead. if the car drops idle then the alternator is in the process of dieing.
