knocking sound on 07 si

I get this knocking sound coming from the rear right side of my new 07 Si Sedan when I am going below 5mph. Anyone else get this? I can't figure out what it is.

Can you be a little more specific... Is this happening @ cruising, or decel, or accel? turning? straight? on a sunny day? lol

i got the same problem on my 07 si sedan........mine comes from the back right too, its seems that it happens when I am going real slow and pulling into my garage it might happen more but i really notice it here because I normally have my radio and ac off and just about ready to shut it down........in my opinion it kinda sounds like.......if you are walking up carpeted stairs in a house and you step on a dead spot and it makes that little popping sound???? any ideas.....oh and my car only has 1000 miles on it........i will be taking it to the dealer real soon.

Yes, I have the exact same problem as tnel2005. Upon deceleration, I hear the popping sounds. I have about 700 miles on it.

Same here...I might bring it to the dealer when I have a chance. It happens when going really slow. I do have a system in my car but it has no effect on it. It's no the rear deck rattling, it's something else back there. A slight tapping.

excuse me sir but you put in your input just as i put in mine. people try to figure out whats wrong with their cars and have no idea what to do. did you see the "how many times did you get your car worked on under warranty" thread? 90% was 1-2 times and i think its stupid people dont take advantage of free work at the dealership while they have it.

oh and ps your not a moderator. quit acting like it

i have a warranty and thats why I said i was taking it to the dealer...already have an appointment for next week.......is it not ok just to ask a questian and see who else has had the same problem or if someone knows if it goes away after so many miles or somthing else......is this not supposed to be a place where help is needed and help is given??? theres no point of putting someone down for asking a questian he will probably get a lot better answer here then he would at some dealer who isnt honest and wants to gain profits on fixing stuff that isnt wrong.

Whenever I got around a left hand curve or hit a bump I get what sounds like a speaker grill rattle coming from the back right, I have never heard a pop though.

its fine to ask questions when i said take it to the dealer i was just saying to do so because you dont want to just hope a noise will go away. people that have a simple door rattle or in the 8th gens case the rear deck rattle you should take it to the dealer. you paid good money for your car and you want it to be almost perfect. and if something goes wrong. you should expect it to be fixed...for free

If you do a search, you will find that many of us have had this issue. My 07 Si sedan had 900 miles on it when it started. The dealer replaced the rear shock absorber and that seems to have fixed it. I suspect it sounds worse than it is. Again I ponder...why always the right rear????

ok, anyone found out what's wrong with this problem? i have the same knock on the rear right wheel, i don't know what it is, when i decel/accel/and brake really slow, like 5 to 10 mph i hear it. i have a question, if i take it to the dealer, what should i say? i have about 3000 miles on my 07 Si. they might try to tell me it's not covered under warranty?

Ok.. update:

I took it to the dealer this morning, and they fixed the problem. This is what the mechanic wrote:

Lubed right rear spring and repositioned. Resecured all suspension components. Noise gone now.

All of it was covered under warranty.

Sadly, it came back. But not as often. I think it is something else as well.
