If it were up to me, I'd still be checking the security tapes to see if anyone was high tailing it out of the area, It would be so worth it regardless of how long it took to get that bastard with a hit and run charge.

That sucks. I usually only park next to others who are just as paranoid about their car as I am. LOL

That's terrible... I don't think anyone has mentioned it, but that's looks like quarter panel damage - the hardest to fix! And on a week old car no less.....

It will look fine, but based on my previous cars damage to quarter panel (SUV backing into me) I would guess $1,200 $1,700K to fix.

Ouch sucks and sorry to hear!

If I were you I'd get the secretary at work to make some announcements for you on Monday. You can hope that the guilt has seeped through, and if it was an A-hole you work with, than they might confess. Just start starting at everyone with distrustful looks :).

That would be nice but unfortunately my building is 4 floors and a good 500 people probably work there. But I've taken detailed measurements of the damage and I'm bringing my camera and my measuring tape to work. I'm definitely going to eyeball every white car in my parking lot. If I find anything that looks like a match, you can bet I'm going to contact my friend in security to see if there's anything they can do for me.

If you file a police report, i believe that most insurance companies will lower your deductible to $250 instead of making you pay the full $500......and, they cannot raise your rates because it was an unavoidable accident on your part since you were not in your car at the time. Same thing happened to someone I know, they were hit out in front of their work, filed a report and the insurance company decreased their deductible just because of the report.
