Metal dragging sound coming from the front of the car

hey guys,

I was driving home last night, and right before i turned in my street i closed my windows and turned off the radio.. then i heard it. It was a loud sound coming from the front of my car, kind of like dragging a sheet of metal across the floor. The sound persisted even as i got into my driveway. After that, i looked everywhere under my car and there was nothing hanging. I drove it around the block again and the sound went away.

WTF was it? Any ideas? If the sound comes back i'm driving to the dealer. My dad checked it out and he said something might have been rubbing against the brake. this is the first time i've heard a sound like that coming from a car. I just want to see if you guys have heard it, or have any suggestions, thanks.

+1 sometimes also the brakes can drag a little on the rotor and produce a metal to metal sound.....I still would ay if you don't know what to look for take it in to the dealer have them check everything...
