Woke up to a puddle of oil

So i really have not had many problems with my SI.. This morning I woke up and when i backed out of my driveway there was a puddle of oil! I got underneath it and it seems to be coming out of the right side of the motor area. I just dropped it off at Keyes Honda. I also am having them check out the brakes which IMO are way off.. Either the sensor for the ABS is way too sensitive or there is something wrong. I get a pulsating feeling in the brake pedal when i dont even depress it that hard while going over a rough road.. that is scary and IMO on a performance car this should not be happening. I have had a few hondas as well as a couple of audi's and never felt this at all.. wish me luck its in service now!

Did you drive it REALLY hard the night before? Could be the oil pump!

there are TSBs out for leaks around the power steering pump.

Might not have gotten the filter on tight enough if it's coming from the back of the motor. And with the brakes I think it's pretty "normal". Mine do the same thing. Freaked me out the first few weeks and then you kind aget used to it

I had the same problem I woke up one day backed out of my garage and i saw a hugh oil puddle under my car. after looking at it for awhile i put a new filter on and it solved the problem. Not sure what happened to the filter but my last oil changed was november and it started leaking in february. my guess is the rubber ring warped or something but the new filter stopped the leak

pulsating feel is asb doing it's job. it thinks u lost traction because u were on a rough road and that happens because it can't tell the difference.

i think the brakes are wack if that is the case and that is "normal"..i am going to disable the abs if that is the case.. my service manager actually said that they did have a few problems with this and that they would check it out... i am not checking the filter and what not because the car is under warranty and that is their problem for the time being.. i wonder if they will wash the car for me..haha

Not sure how mechanically inclined you are. Seems like there are alot of younger guys were this is their first car etc... but when you installed your oil filter did you lube up the gasket ring? Also DO NOT reuse the crush wahser!!!!!!!!!!! If your doing to be changing your own oil do yourself a favor and go to a hardware store and get a high temp rubber/cork gasket. Then you won't strip out your oil pan and you can reuse it as many times as you want

Did you change your oil youself? or did you have the dealership change it? If you did it yourself then... yeah it's your problem. If you change your own oil and forget the tighten up the filter and damage is caused to the motor beacause of it... I have a hard time believing Honda would warrenty it. They are stingy bastards when it comes to warrenty claims!!

The pulsating feeling could be warped brake rotors. I have felt this problem in previous cars. When the ABS kicks on you will hear a clicking sound and it will pulse really really fast. If it is pulsing and you feel like you are moving back and forth almost, it could be your rotors. Just my 2 cents though.

yea it could also be the oil filter isnt on tight enough or the drain plug washer is broken or even that the drain plug isnt tightened enough

so i just got the call back from honda.. it was my oil gasket... the brakes are being fixed as well.. they are turning the rotors and new brake pads... all under warranty... and yes i know about cars and have had plenty of nicer cars then the si so I know how to maintain them... it seems as if this was a anamoly and its all being taken care of. i will update how the brakes are working and see if this was a fix... i understand that abs has a job to do but not the way its perfoming on my SI.. who has a 07 in this forum because it seems if i turn off the vsa it helps tremendously... and by the way I only have 6k miles on the car....
