Updates? I am curious about this because I had a similar experience. I just got the car back today from the dealership for the transmission whining noise - I also have an upgraded clutch and lightweight flywheel. Noise didn't start until after they were installed - and the noise is still there. They replaced every bearing, every synchro, and the shift forks too. The thing shifts smoother than when it was new, but that damn noise is still there!!! What could it be??? It's like a new tranny! How could it still make the noise!!
