Broken passenger mirror

How expensive is it to replace these things? Will I have to take the door apart? I'm guessing so.

Someone decided it would be fun to break my passenger side mirror of my car whle I was sleeping. Woke up the next morning and actually started driving down the road without even noticing. Went to change lanes and I'm like "Hrm...why can't I see anything?". Called my roommate and asked her to look around where I was parked. Sure enough, she said she found my mirror inside a dumpster...in way too many pieces to bother retrieving it. Just F'ing pisses me off.

I'll take a pic when I get home. Car actually looks extra aerodynamic, maybe I'll take the other one off too, haha.

That sucks bro...hope it doesnt cost too much to fix.

I don't think you would have to take the door apart to fix that side mirror.

Well there are no wires hanging out so I can only guess whatever controls the electric mirror is inside the door. I hope your right though, I know if I take the door apart it will never be the same. Probably start to rattle or something. Blah, I hate people. I just wish I could of caught the person and beat the crap out of them with a bat.

The wires are connected to the mirror itself. It has one of those snap things. Don't remember how it looks on 8th gens but on my civic it's a little cap on the inside of door where mirror is. Snaps off and screw are under. Can remove without taking off door panel

Here's a pic of inside of mirror. Don't really see many on ebay

sucks though. whats up with all the civic hate. somebody got egged, keyed, etc.. now you

Thanks, I needed some good news. At least I can install this thing myself since the dealer wants $94 for a replacement.
