UK BUILD CIVIC PROBLEMS

Hey Guys

Can't seem to find a forum discussing the UK build civic problems so decided to post something here.

Firstly, I'm from South Africa and we get our Civics from the UK. Now I've been experiencing some minor but VERY irritating issues with my civic.

1) The panel around the steering wheel was heavily scratched. After arguing with them for around 5 bloody months they ordered the part for me. But that was only after I emailed the manager of the branch. He knows my father very well so I guess that’s the only reason he replaced it. Anyway, I think this was a really bad material chosen by Honda. It scratches very easily and looks bad when the sunlight shines upon it.

2) The dash, around the CD player, started to make these strange plastic crackling noises. It’s extremely irritating and makes the car sound quite cheap. Pressing the area around the CD player silences the noise for a while, but it will return.

3) Sometimes the car will pull back when releasing the clutch after changing a gear. And yes, I can drive; think there’s a problem somewhere.

4) There’s also something vibrating in the side pillar driver’s side. It’s right next to your bloody ear so you can’t miss it.

Oh yes, regarding the seatbelt warning sound. I spoke to one of the Honda guys and he said that there is a yellow plug underneath the driver’s seat. You can just unplug it. The sound will go away but the airbag might not deploy correctly due to the seat sensor being disabled as well. The airbag size deploys according to your weight or something like that.

Hope someone can help me out so that I can show those &^% guys at my dealer that I’m not the only guy with these problems. They keep on making me feel like an ass telling me that no one has these problems except me.
