Rear Ticking, clacking noise when coming to slow down

whenever i go to slow down i hear an inconsistant ticking or clacking type noise from the rear, which i believe is coming from the shock, because when i shake the car thas where it seems to be coming from, i looking in the sticky and i saw a title which most likely applied to what im asking but the link was corrupt, if anyone could adress this issue it would be greatly appreciated.
would a hfp suspension fix this problem?

what's your miles?

give it time and it will go away...
I have the same problem on mine and dealer couldn't find out where the ticking is coming from. my car's in and out of the dealership cuz of that, they changed the rear shocks and still have the ticking sound so finally they just decided to tell me that it's normal in newer civics.

when i hit 3k miles it just went away. i don't know why, it just stopped ticking and now i'm not ticked anymore!

I had that problem. The dealer replaced the rear strut and the problem is gone. This is an unfortunately common problem. Mine was so pronounced that it prompted my 3 year old to ask who was knocking on the car...

HELLO HONDA...ARE YOU LISTENING???

i had the same noise too it last for 3 months.... but the noise had gone since the moment i went over a Fxxking high speed bump in around 25-30km (Which should be 10km or even less than 10km to go over) i could hear it crack sound from my car base when i went over.... it's hurt, but the annoying clacking noise gone... havn't hear it for 2 week.... LOLZ ~~ i don't think u gonna to do the same thing. turn ur volume louder thats only to lgnore the noise.

i also have this noise, first i though it was just some water bottles on my trunk rolling around or my poker chips, but last night i took everything out the trunk and it was still there, i haven't tried pushing the car down on the rear side to duplicate the problem i'll try this tonight. i might have to get this checked out but i hate dealers, they will just say they can't find the noise.

I got my 07 civic back from the dealer today for that problem and a problem with noise when making right turns or coming to a brake...i think they told me that the problem was with the subframe bolts and they just re-torqued them (his english was kinda bad..). I drove it home, which was about 15 mins, and didn't hear anymore noises. I'll have to drive it a bit longer and see how it goes.
