that shouldn't cause all those problems, but Hondata REQUIRES an intake or header or exhaust for the reflash

maybe the ECU got messed up during shipping

an intake header or exhaust would not be causing his radio and cruise control to malfunction.

sounds like he should get his money back from hondata.

Where is the original ECU that was reflashed by Hondata?

You're going to have to find a way to get that ECU back or something. I think Hondata will need it back to either reflash it or reimburse you.

check your ground wires.....that WILLL do it...trust me its happened to me before.
Just make sure that the ground wire thats taped up with the fuel rail wires is grounded to the valve cover...or...intake manifold.

If im wrong or its not the case...then he just got a bad egg out of the nest

Sounds pretty fortunate that he got the ECU replaced...I'd have thought that in the situation you described any dealer would say your SOL or charge you full price for a new ECU.

I'm curious about the OP's "animal" comment on the reflash when it was working: I had thought the mid-range loss that Hondata claims after reflash on a stock Si would be significant enough to make the mod not worthwhile when stock (at least that's how I read it on the Hondata website). I realize that regardless of being stock, the raised rev limiter would be worth some kind of performance gain, but how much, really? Is there a dyno of a stock Si with reflash floating around somewhere?
