gas cap door

I want to get gas but the switch below my leg that opens the door to get to the gas cap doesn't open the door. I have to pry it open. Needs lube, WD40? Help, thanks.

have you removed that door sill plate before? or has the dealer for any reason?(warranty work)

dealer time!

EDIT: does it not open the door, or does it open the door and the door itself just will not open???

The 36"ish long plastic piece to the left of the switch? Yes I assume so, I had amp/subs installed and wires go under I would think.

Note: this has happened for the last two fillups. Not a one night thing.

take that sill plate off and examine the trunk/fuel door latch. something's screwed up there, or the lock is slightly misaligned.

try routing the wires by your center console. I don't forsee me running any wires under that sill plate. I've taken mine on/off a few times when I clean my car and it can be a bi@tch to put back on by itself. Much less with power/signal wires run through it...

make sure you get it fixed before you run out of gas.
