A/C compressor

This was the first hot day /90 degreese today ,so of course i ran the ac ,i rode around for about 20 minutes .When I got home the compresser was so loud i thought the condensor had a leak .It was hissing and sounded like a bird chirping .It is normal to be a little noisy but damn .The funny thing is there wasnt a drop of condensation /water under the car ? I was just wondering if any 1 else has been able to hear their compressor when they are standing outside the car ?

Did you mean while the car was on? or after you turned it off?

after i turned it off! It was the like the sound of condensation boiling or trapped somewhere ,the nearest I could hear it sounded like it was comming from compressor.I let it cool then drove it 2 hours later just for like 5 minutes with the ac on max and I didnt hear it ? I dont know

If you're talking about the hissing, it seems normal. It happened on my accord as well, there's actually a thread about this somewhere on this forum.

Yea I found out it's just the gas pressure settleing in the compress. Oh and the reason you wont see any water is because the condendation valve is set so high that is 1 reason alot of civic's were recalled because it would drip on the passanger side floormats! I got under mine and it just goes into a hole in the crossmember then when i drive it flies out . No more worries .
