How often should the Transmission fluid be changed?

I'm nearing 10k km and thinking about changing the ATF, or should i wait until 20k

I drain what is in the atf pan every 10k. It takes 2.5 quarts to refill. I have been using amsoil atf and have had good results. It says on the amsoil site that it can be used with honda z1 fluid.

the Amsoil is a decent product, but be careful when it comes to your warantee. Honda has never had particularly reliable auto transmissions; while I am capable of changing my own, I will let the dealer do it with genuine Honda fluid while under warantee just to avoid any hassel. Can't cost that much. I think its due at 30,000 miles.
