But you build up the static from the seats.

It took me a couple of months before I got seriously shocked again. I had a few small ones here and there, but with the air as dry as it gets, you can't stop it.

I used to use this but I refuse to spray it in the Civic because of the AWFUL smell.

And, being in college off campus, I don't live in a neighborhood where I would ever leave my windows down without being inside.

But it's true. I've gotten some freaking TERRIBLE shocks and there's no snow yet .

Nearly everytime I get out, I get shocked.
One time I was actually shocked on my ankle; it went through my jeans!

My xa use to do that......touch metal before you exit and you will not get shocked....or put fabric softner sheets under your mats....that helps too :)

I get shocked almost every time, especially when it is cold and dry out.

I bet you guys all slide your feet around a lot when driving. That will build up enough static electricity to shock you when you get out.

I used to get shocked everytime I got out of my old car. I don't in the Civic.

Yep, I get shocked everytime I get out. Now, I have the habit of leaning my right shoulder at the door so it'll discharge, less painful that way.

Exactly, as long as you touch then door, then put your foot on the ground you'll be fine. I haven't been shocked since. And just like in Office Space, it hurts more when you're anticipating it haha
