Do you know the recall notice #? Even though everybody in Honda knows about this, I can see them saying, " Nope. Never heard of that problem before. Have you heard about that one, Billy? Nope? Must not exisit."

anyone know of the recall on the Coupe's for the back deck speaker rattle?

engine tick at idle is the injectors. annoying, but normal for civics IMO. I've owned two, both had the same sound. You can talk to Honda about tuning them to reduce the noice. Tech said it should be done around 15,000-30,000miles

i don't recall a recall # on the odo thing. i believe it is a class action thing that you don't/shouldn't have to do anything to be a part of except own an affected honda.

07 ex coupe . So far The dealer has treated me very well .
the problems so far are as listed
1 front bumper flaked paint around headlights/ dealer repainted in n/c{no charge}
2 the hood had a 4" discolorment in the flake paint /dealer repainted it n/c
3 right rear caliper frozen and the [ad was dragging on the rotor constantley ,started smoking and glazed the shit out of the r.r caliper .In the shop today for that I am at 6000 miles !

I do notice small speratic idle drops when the radiator fans come on ,if i am at a busy intersection and there is heatsoak in the engine even with the factory air box. Also with any electrical add on's the drive by wire affects the idle as well , It kind of sucks but in all its been a great ride so far

Funny, that's the same exact time the valves start making noise and it's recommended you have them adjusted.

I've noticed that my engine bay has gotten a lot louder in the past few thousand miles than it was when the car was new. I either think it's the injectors that have gotten louder, the valves starting to ticket, or a possible small leak at where the intake manifold meets up with the head. I need to get it to Honda to have them look at it but something tells me they'll say it's normal.

Have anyone noticed that the car starts smelling after using the A/C?

What part of it starts smelling? The air it blows out?

I know my A/C smelled a little musty when I first turned it on after not using it in a long time, but other than that it's never smelled.

Heh, I noticed that last week too. The light came on for no apparent reason, and blinked twice.

Also, the back of the passenger seat has popped off out of nowhere, I'll have to take it in for that, since I can see the airbag. They had taken it out to fix the srs light, so they can't bullshit me and say that I caused that.

I love the car, but I am so pissed at the build of it...it's so freaking cheap inside.

Speaking of air conditioner issues...

My 06 EX Coupe idles extremely rough while idling in Neutral and Drive. The thing is it doesn't do it all the time and it has been inconsistent in how often it does it, but lately it has been doing it more and more.

The tachometer will show a normal idle and then all of a sudden as the compressor kicks on (I'm assuming) for the air conditioner, the RPMs drop down to like 400 and then bounce back up to 1,000 as if it were going to stall but then it doesn't.

I'm going to bring my car in I think this week to have them look at it. I'll also have them take a look at the TSB regarding the noise at 1400 RPM because my car has been doing it much more consistently now.

Btw, my car has 13,300 miles and is a year old.

I've been having the same problems with the rough idling as well...going to the dealer sometime this week to have them look at the seat back, idle, serpentine belt, A/C and a number of other things

It's good to know that I'm not the only one with this idle/ac problem. I make a point of not running my ac when my passengers are in the car so they are not like WTF?!

This does not affect any 06 civic coupes I think. I got a letter saying there was a law suite and my warrenty was good till like 37,200 instead of 36,000

my si is one of the first 06's and it's odo is right on.
