I concur, add me to the list. The fbw could be a little less sensitive in first gear, I'm guessing they changed the code processing the voltage feedback in the SI reflash update.

Yup, same problem here. to give an example: I'm travelling at around 40-50 kph and approach an intersection...i slow down to around 10-15 then step on the gas...takes around 1-2 seconds for the accelerator to respond. i can feel that the engine is like choking...I have a 1.8S A/T Asian model

Make : HONDA Model : CIVIC Year : 2006
Manufacturer : HONDA (AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO.)
Service Bulletin Num : 09012005
Date of Bulletin: SEP 01, 2005
NHTSA Item Number: 10018479
Component: SEAT BELTS
Summary:
NEW SEAT BELT REMINDER LOGIC FOR '06 MODELS. APPLIES TO '06 ACCORDS, '06 CIVICS, '06 PILOTS, AND '06 S2000'S.

Any details on this? My seatbelt warning starts whining at me as soon as I turn the ignition. I usually get in the car, turn it on, put on seatbelt, close door, and the drive. I don't need the seatbelt reminder screaming at me the whole time for no reason and I'd love to get it fixed.

What you SHOULD be doing is:
- getting in car
- closing the door
- putting your seatbelt on
- starting the car
- driving away

........you've just got your order mixed up. I'm surprised that people don't even know what order they SHOULD be going in every time they drive.

Why?

Back in the day I was a delivery driver. Its dive into car get it started, do everything else, drive away fast. The engine gets oil flowing through it. You free up one hand from your keys. Old habits die hard. Would the new seatbelt reminder logic fix this or not?

Are you talking about the beeping when you start the car? Thats on every car...has been like that for Hondas forever. Thats not the new seatbelt reminder at all...thats the normal startup chimes. The new seatbelt reminder goes on only after you start driving...it won't activate until you move...and the icon will blink, also.

By the way, as I mentioned beofre...there is no new seatbelt logic except for the one that came with your car and every other 2006+ Civic and other Hondas. The TSB is ONLY an informational TSB.

Hanging Revs FIXED!

I have an 06 Civic Si Coupe that I got in March of 06. The car has been great except the complaint that a lot of the car mags had about the "hanging revs." In other words, when you push in the clutch and take your foot off the gas before shifting the revs do NOT fall at all for at least 1-2 seconds. This makes for jerky shiftin and causes clutch wear. Worse, when you are in stop-and-go traffic and go to take your foot off the gas to let the car slow down the car continues to go the same speed even with your foot off the gas pedal due to these hanging revs.

There is a service announcement about this but it is ONLY FOR SI OWNERS WHO COMPLAIN (like me!). They reflashed my ECU and now the revs fall pretty naturally and the off throttle coast is normal, too. It is worth making a bit of noise at your dealership to have it done. It makes the car much smoother and safer to drive, and enhances performance driving at the same time!

About the rev hanging issue? I have the same problem with my 07 that has supposedly been fixed in 06. I need to call my service dept but I just hate dealing with those retards (dealer service in general).

How about the brakes on the SI? Anyone else have a problem with them when ur going a decent speed and hit the brakes hard. Not so hard that u would skid but hard, and it seems they slip and the pedal doeswnt feel right and u lose alot of braking power.??? its a little scary. It almost seems like if i was to need the brakes in an emergency I would be screwed and get into and accident. =/ Anyone else?

What's the maintenance history of your brake system? Did you buy the car new or used? You could just need a brake job, maybe the fluid is low. How many miles you got on the car?

Wrong odometer readings

Is the mis-counting odometer just an issue for the hybrid? I've got a 06 Si coupe, and sometimes I think the milage on it isn't right. Is there a fix for this, or are they just doing the 5% extention of your waranty?
