on the passenger side mount, you should have about 1/8-1/4 inch of clearance between the rubber mount and the metal bracket on the fender well right beneath the dogbone mount.
It sounds like you have no clearance left, as if it has sunk in, and only when the fluid inside the mount is warmer it dampens the movement. Ericthecarguy on youtube diagnosed a bump noise in the FR of an acura as a broken FR engine mount that caused the engine to literally slam up and down on its mounting. |

So, I got down and dirty yesterday and determined that it was in fact the main hydraulic mount (right side). I'm gonna switch it out with a new one in the coming week or two and perform an autopsy on the old one to see if I can narrow down a specific failure.

My car started having the same issue this week. I have an 08 Coupe with AT. This was the first week of cold temperatures here for the year, and the noise only happens when the car is first started in the morning and put into reverse (though it actually made noise in park for the first time today). I'm taking it in Monday morning and will make sure they look at the mounts. Hopefully it can be fixed under the powertrain warranty, as I'm at 48k miles and 4.5 years.

i changed the mount and all abnormal vibrations and sounds gone - failed hydraulic mount can also be inspected physically through naked eye. you can check its GAP if the gap is low then that shows that your mount is either bad of about to go bad.
