I got the same exact problem. I just shift earlier than redline like around 7500.

I have the Comptech S/S and if I shift from 1/2 VERY fast it will grind. That is normal for these cars. Especially with the S/S..car wasn't designed to shift that fast I suppose

I have yet to grind or pop out, but i definetly experience notchyness with both 2nd and 3rd gears.

Changing your MTL will definately relieve most of the notchiness.

I don't. I mean if I shift like f'n lightning with my s/s it will grind. If I shift fast, but not lighning fast it's fine...

It could be bad syncros. I had that problem since the day I bought my si. Took it to the dealer and they replaced 1-3+ syncros. You could tell someone was not nice to it taking it for a test drice. I would be @ a light in N and push the clutch in and shift to 1st and get a grind. How many miles are on your car now?

Does the grinding only happens when you shift fast at redline? Or does it also grind even when you dont shift as fast?
