Amsoil Mtf put in by dealer?

Anyone had any success by having the dealer put in new MTF besides the honda one?

a few people have. some honda dealers even stock other mtf thats better than the honda stuff.

yeah mine put it in for me with no hassle or questions. they just said that it is recommended to change at 30k but other than that hassle free.

I have the AMSOIL Synchromesh on order and I was wondering if Honda would void the warranty if you do it yourself? Because it clearly states in the owner's manual that changing your engine oil will not void the warranty... However, they don't mention anything for the MTF. Anyone?

it wont void your warranty unless it damages your tranny but some dealers will be dicks and say it will just so you can buy it from them. some dealers dont mind.

I was thinking about this and I'm worried my dealer will be spiteful and mess up my car, is there any downside to just having a local shop do the MTF change?

btw, I also am not sure whether it be better to get the oil changed to Mobil1 Synth. at a shop, or just have the dealer use honda stuff?

There's no problem with Honda engine oil, just their MTF.
Even IF changing the MTF to non-Honda brand, I fail to see anyone anal enough to run tests on the MTF to see if it's Honda brand.
