Cel on!!!

Hey guys,

I just recently got my comptech header and random technology high flow cat put on. I got a call from the guy that put it on saying that my cel came on when it was all done. The first person that put this pair on did not get a cel, so does anybody have an idea of why mine came on and not theres? I want this to go off so please any suggestions would be great!!

Justin

i think it has to do with the high flow cat. theres a part you had to make it go away but right now the name of it slips my mind.

do you screw in those sensors? if so just try unscrewing it a bit. if you dont screw them on you might have to get a defouler

What was the CEL for?

I can only guess either the sensors were not reinstalled correctly, or the oil used in manufacturing Random Technology Cats coated your down stream O2...thus fouling it out???

no, its because the secondary o2 sensor noticed that you cat was malfunctioning. Malfunctioning because the exhaust out of the high flow was not sufficiently cleaned. This has happened to a lot of folks with that cat on here.

using a test pipe in place of cat?

so if i get the spark plug defouler from auto zone and get the guy who installed it to put that tube in between the 2 o2 sensors, then the cel should go away?
