R18 break in oil consumption

I've got an 07 EX coupe, and I've got around 1700 miles on it right now. I've noticed that it's lost a little bit of oil. I've read that consumption in the first few thousand miles is normal but I've only read that in the context of Honda's performance engines (mainly K series) and not the R18.

Is it normal for the R18 to use a little bit of oil this early in its life?

I lost some factory oil too, but once I got an oil change I haven't lost any since.

With 8000+ on my LX sedan, between oil changes there is still some oil loss!

And how much is "little bit" and "some" so we can offer a better response? 1 quart is significant, so how many miles until 1 quart is lost will be my question. I haven't calibrated our new R18's dip stick, so I don't know how much oil it takes to go from bottom to top mark on the dip stick.

On our D16Y8 motor, it takes 0.5qt from min to max, with a 3.3qt sump.

A "little bit" in my case is not what I would consider a significant amount, maybe about and eighth of an inch off the full mark on the dipstick. I was just curious as to whether any consumption should be expected from a healthy R18 when new. Sounds like it's fine.
