You are wrong about the front plate in Texas. In the State of Texas its manditory for you to have 2 plates on your vehicle. You must have a visable front and back plate. Lets just say I do quite a few traffic stops on people failing to display a front plate. Little traffic stops like this often lead to bigger things! So, if I were you I would definately put your front plate on your vehicle. Often little towns that have nothing to do will stop your vehicle for stupid things like not having a front plate, but then lead to bigger things!

Im sorry but I wouldn't have bought that car...you might as well put the front plate back on to cover that up. If I were you I would complain to honda where you bought it and have them replace it. Or you know that survey you got in the mail....let them know they drilled your bumper.

Oh, DAMN! Yeah, that sucks! You should definitely say something to your dealer. They might not do anything, but then again...they just might! That warrants a new bumper.

They will just say that front plates are required in Illinois....have a nice day. There is no way they will spring for the new bumper

Wow!!!! Yeah, that is definitely wrong!! The front plate holder should be held only through the grill by 2 holes on each end of plate frame. I'm sorry to see that.

Tell them they didn't have to drill your bumper to put the front tag on and that their dumbasses.

I called them about that and they said exactly what I thought they would. requiredfront plates in Illinois and they "had to" drill to make sure the plate is secure. I didn't think they would spring for it anyway. Oh well.

I would continue to pursue this if I were you. Honda designed the front plate anchor points to hold the front plate. If they thought more anchor points were necessary to hold the front plate securely, they would have designed them in. I would keep complaining to the dealer, walking up the chain, and I would also complain to Honda. A hole drilled in the front bumper is unacceptable.

I just don't think this is argueable. If so many Honda dealers drilled into it, there must be some policy or soemthing. I mean, ONE dealer can be a dumbass and drill it but apparently a lot of em are doing it.

The fact that several or many dealers have drilled into the bumper doesn't make it okay or acceptable. Again, I would escalate as far as was necessary to get it fixed and I would inform Honda if the dealer did not make it right.

Ofcourse that is completely on what kind of cop you get.

This car was not designed for that ugly front plate. It serves no purpose other then more revenue for each state.
