Transmission problem

It just started last week on a long trip. I was difficulty shifting out of gears into neutral or sometimes just shifting period whehter it be up or down.

I went to the dealership today to get the transmission fluid changed. This is my first MT car so issues dealing with clutch and things of that nature are foreign to me.

After the service done... it is not as bad. It does flow smoother but it's not 100% fixed, should I wait a little longer for the new fluid to go thru the tranny? Or is there something else I should get checked out.

I have 3 shifter mods and I'm hoping that these items didn't let to a premature clutch failure. I have the comptech short shifter, corsport shifter linkage bushings and the twm base bushings.

I'm thinking I should get my transmission inspected first but if anyone know for sure what it is, it would help a great deal.

Btw, when the engine is off, the car goes into all 6 gears and reverse easily, and they come out easily as well, its only when the ignition is on.

here's what it may be,

check the linkage to the bushings (corsport bushings), has the rubber protector disconnected, allowing the cable to bend under pressure?

also, how on earht did you get the bigger corsport bushing in, i STILL cant get it in, really boethring me now!

the big one you just have to make sure it goes in as lined up as possible and then tap it in with the end of a screw driver. warning. do not pull to much on the shift cable as you might break a certain piece that will enable you to shift gears.

I checked the bushings.. they are still in there securely. Everything looks like its supposed to, so now I've noticed that when I start off in first and slowly let out the clutch, it squeaks.

I know my clutch isn't bad, it goes into all gears fine. What could it be?

Sounds like you just need a better fluid than whatever crap Honda is using...look for Amsoil "Syncromesh", seems to eliminate 99% of shifting "problems".

*assumes your dealer just put in more shitty Honda fluid.

i'll give that a try. I'm sure shifting will improve once again. i don't think that will help the screeching noise though. any thoughts?
