Car wont stop revving !!!!

ok so i know the deal .. research first then ask.. well thats what i did and this is why im asking.. i seen no clear indication as to what the sure fix is.. but ill tell you about my car and why i believe which sensor it is.. that went bad..

I live in Pittsburgh now used to live in jersey.. boy did i not know i was moving to baby Alaska its snows.. snows.. snows... all the damn time.. so basically one day driving to work my car starts to bog .. like really bad.. i leave car parked during the day come back car is fine basically i guess water got some where and hadn't dried out but when i return it has so thats why the car is fine.... well i believe that was the beginning of my problem today i was driving to work everything seems fine car riding ok.. when i go to park my car.. IT STARTS!!!!

Vroom Vroom Vroom Vroom Vroom.. so on so forth.. the damn car kept revving (im burning so much gas smh) so i read some say vacuum leak sensor .. i believe its the sensor that is attached to my cold air intake the maf sensor which is up top in the engine bay i dont believe is the culprit he didnt get wet i dont think .. tho it was snow on top of the hood but i doubt when it melted the water leaked to the maf causing this..

i went to autozone got some maf cleaner sprayed that sucker good.. yet the story remains.. vroom vroom vroom vroom... so on so forth... am i right its move likely the iat sensor on the cai ? tho i unplugged the iat on the cai and started the car and yet it still did the same thing.. would that indicate thats not the culprit? i did the same with the maf and it sounded like the car wanted to turn off it wasnt as bad of a vroom vroom it seemed like it was trying to stop but same time trying to turn the f out lol lol so my educated 8thcivic fam which do i replace in this matter? maf or iat or both ? or are those not even where i should be checking first.. ?

LoL... yeah let's see it. I have a nagging suspicion to what it might be, but I don't want to just throw out a guess without looking at a log first.

If your car revs up and down at idle, it means the ecu is getting more air in than it's sensors are saying it is. it's a vacuum leak of some sort somewhere if that **** is happening.

He's got the whole shebang wrong...

O2 sensor is done, IAT sensor high voltage CEL, knock sensor is out... and to boot there's a vacuum leak somewhere.

i say vacuum leak. they can be tricky to find. i always use the carb cleaner method no problems. you pretty much wanna hit everything between the the tb and intake manifold and anything plumbed to the intake manifold.

If you didn't understand how this works after watching the video posted above, you shouldn't be trying to fix anything. Matter fact, don't touch the car at all! Take it to a mechanic.

Awesome, you've found the problem. Which sensor was it? The O2 sensor or the MAF sensor?

As for your dissatisfaction with forums, when your posts are chock full of capitalization, spelling and grammatical errors, people are likely to think that you are stupid. I'm guessing that's why bro2snakeaterblk08 and others suggested you not work on your own car.

Now, I'm not saying you're stupid, I'm just letting you know what kind of impression your typing leaves. You're likely to get a much better response if your posts are well written.

No i simply just left caps on from use of before.. had no meaning behind it other then it was just left on .. but further more a statement is a statement lower case or capital . but iat sensor is the culprit im also replacing the 02 as that may be on its way out too.. one last side bar when u go to you local shop which im sure many of you do .. i highly doubt you speak with the utmost etiquette so i see no sign up for course's nor believe any of you are professors here to grade my grammar so lets all just chill and help another out which ill say many of you do and i appreciate you ...
