Sqeaky Rattle From Rear Windows...Dealer says TSB for This

For about 2 months I have been having one hellacious rattle/squeaking problem from the rear deck area in my 06 Si. Took my car in today for an oil change and told them about the rattle. Service advisor came back and told me that they were going to have me come back in a week and that they were going to replace and/or reseat the 2 side c-pillar windows and the whole rear window as well. They mentioned that there was a service bulletin about squeaks/rattles emanating from the rear windows. Does anyone know more about this TSB? It's service bulletin 06-069. I searched on this site but could not find more info about it. Even though they said my VIN was not one of the affected ones, according to the TSB, they were still going to try to fix it by replacing/reseating the glass. Hopefully this will be the end of my rattle misery !!!!

there is a tsb for the rear deck rattle which is not caused by the rear windows. it is caused the by the speekers and rear deck. i had the rattles in the rear deck too until about 2 weeks ago when i took my car in for an oil change, tranny oil change, and for the tsb. since then i have not heard my car rattle once.

The dealership ruled out the possibilty that it was the subwoofer enclosure that was rattling. I also could tell from the sound that it wasn't from the sub. This sound is a constant and rather loud squeaking and seems to occur close to the sides of the rear window...near the c-pillars. It's not just from one side of the car either but seems to be from both sides. They ordered some new seals for the windows and they will call me when the parts arrive. Hopefully next week I will have this problem fixed.

ive got the window TSB on a piece of paper or two from honda canada.

They printed it out and gave it to me when i asked about squeaking- but its not from the windows.

Im reading the paper and in the affected vehicles part, it says (29 vehicles)

I had my right rear window replaced along with the track because it wasn't seated properly. As far as I know this only affected 2006 models and the vin range was only like 300 cars or so

tell the sercvice dept your hearing a squeak and they'll fix it. you can mention the tsb but do it nicely and focus on the problem (not the fact that you want it fixed). you cant just walk in with a TSB and be like "FIX THIS FOR ME FOR FREE".

if you dont think they know what they are doing. go to a different dealership.
