strange grinding feel at 3500 rpm

The best I can describe the feeling is a slight grinding that I can only feel through my gas pedal. It happens at about 3500 rpm and can happen in all gears. It doesn't happen all the time but the longer I drive the car the more it seems to happen. Anyone have this problem before? possible fix?

I don't think it needs a fix, that should be where the "normal" cam mode comes into play and it's no longer in vtec (gas saving) mode. Maybe thats why, i could be wrong though.
