07 Problems

Just about to pick up my 07 Si. I was wondering for those owners with 07 si coupes what problems have you encountered so I can pay attention for them. Also are there any recalls or TSB's for 07 Si coupes. Thanks for any info.

07 problems

I am well aware of the problems with 06 model, thats why I am interested in people who have an 07 Si so I know what to look for in my new car. By the way even with all of the problems in the 06 model the Si is still an amazing cars. Please anybody driving the 07 model let me know what you think and what problems have popped up. Thanks

I think....

I think the Civic is a car.

and....if common sense serves me right...

Cars are machines....

therefore, by process of further common sense....

MACHINES AREN'T PERFECT.

(nor are people, which is why I suspect half of those people on the flamer's list don't know the first thing about driving a car or maintaining it..)

Edit: To the original poster, do a few searches, you'll find some very good, honest opinions about what is good and what is bad with the Civics, both 2006 and 2007 models. This thread clearly got out of hand and people aren't being very helpful. My apologies.

Please stop talking.

Breathing would be better, but hey, wishful thinking.

Also, before you start knocking the car that a forum was named after, you may want to get some better reputation around here, because otherwise, you fail about as much as the Pinto failed.

Good day to you and enjoy your (short) stay at 8thCivic.com.

actually you didnt tell him anything to look out for, because your list is from the previous body style of Civic Si. the designs and components change beween body styles, even model years.

most of us know our civics arent the fastest "sports" cars out there, they are designed to be for the most part economy cars that can also be fun to drive

AND again, my problem was with the DEALER, and the WARRANTY.
No one is saying there is any hype, at all...are you seeing things?

Take a look at the MANY threads surrounding the common problems that the 8th generation Civics have. I have many complaints myself, things that I expect more from Honda on, but you don't get a better car in this class for 20k.

No one is saying they are sports cars. I don't believe I've ever heard one member of the many on this site say that our cars are sports cars. Not once.

I'm not telling you not to post the bad, or the good. I'm tellign you to use your brain and common sense, which as of right now, you show both to be lacking, before inciting flames. 4 posts is about 500 too little to complain about the Civic on this forum. You're just labeling yourself a troll before that.

As I said before, take a look at the many "problem" threads we have going. You'll quickly learn that even the most devout Si owners admit their "sports car" is flawed.

the issue is not that you just joined the site, the issue is that with your 6 posts youre telling everyone how we should have bought german and our cars are worse than Fiats

not a good way to get a good reputation around here

not all dealers are like that, the dealer my family takes our "fleet" of hondas to treats us very well, and we have been going to them for almost 16 years

they hunt down any problems i bring to them regardless of time and give me almost half off the total bill for non warranty work every time

I had a good experience with my dealer...hm.

I know many who didn't have a good experience, but I just read about a GM dealership in Seattle who swindled a mentally retarded man for 100,000 dollars.

Dealerships are dealerships. I've gotten shit from Honda, Toyota, Scion, GMC, Pontiac, Chevy, Ford, Volkswagon, Lexus, and others. Their institution is flawed.

Much like your presence on this site. If you have a problem with someone, go bitch to Honda America; they'll probably take you even less seriously as we are.

We're a very welcoming community, but just because YOU had a shitty experience with YOUR dealership and warranty doesn't mean the rest of us have.

People get very good warnings about what is wrong with our cars (which isn't much, by the way, compared to just about every vehicle in this class). We don't need a flaming pulpit, this isn't the New Enlightenment.

And if you don't know what a troll is, look here:

I love all my Hondas. They've been great vehicles that never needed a repair other than oil changes. I've had about 6 others that have been sold or given away, in addition to my 2002 CRV, 2007 Fit, & 2007 Civic.

in part of that explanation you claim to be giving us you are leaving out many vital details.

what was the car doing (or not doing)
what if anything did you do that could have caused it
and most importantly since your dealer sucks so much is WHAT DEALER WAS IT?
that way we can stay away from it
